Team Liberty Racing Back In Action For NHRA Nationals In Las Vegas

CORDELE, Ga. (October 25, 2017) – Taking a step back from competition after the U.S. Nationals in September, Team Liberty Racing’s Cory Reed and Angelle Sampey are rejuvenated and ready to return this weekend at the 17th annual NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. “Taking those races off helped our team kind of reset a little bit,” team owner and rider Cory Reed said. “Stepping back kind of opened our eyes to a couple of things that we may not have had time to see if we didn’t skip a few races. We’re confident that we’re gonna go to Las Vegas and not hurt anything and even go faster than we have all season because we’re not hurting our stuff.” Heading into this weekend, Sampey is No. 13 and Reed is No. 14 in the Pro Stock Motorcycle points and since they aren’t contending for a championship in 2017, they hope to shake up the points on raceday. “We want Team Liberty Racing to be a thorn in their sides this weekend,” Sampey laughed. “We have a solid team and I’m really happy with how far we’ve come this year with our Victory Magnum Pro Stock Motorcycles. I have a good feeling about this weekend and our chances of going rounds.” Qualifying begins on Friday, October 27th with two qualifying sessions at 1:45 and 4:15 p.m. (PT). Two more qualifying sessions are scheduled for Saturday, October 28th at 1:15 and 3:45. Pre-race ceremonies will begin at 10:15 a.m. and eliminations will start at 11:00 a.m. (PT) starting with Top Fuel. Cory Reed – Career at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
