DEWEY BEACH, Del. (September 27, 2017) – Joey Gladstone will ride his San Marino Excavating Suzuki for the first time in his Pro Stock Motorcycle career this weekend at the Sixth annual AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals. Looking to rebound from an early exit at last weekend’s event in Reading, Pennsylvania, Gladstone is hopeful that his luck will turn around and he will better position himself for success this weekend at Gateway Motorsports Park.
“Making five clean runs in Reading definitely was a confidence booster even though we didn’t win first round,” Gladstone said. “We ran really good off the trailer when the air was at its best at Maple Grove Raceway and that’s encouraging to me because we have a really good setup for good air. Looking at the forecast for this weekend in St. Louis, I think we have a tune-up that could really throw down some solid numbers and I’m looking forward to it.”
Gladstone heads into this weekend No. 9 in the Pro Stock Motorcycle point standings.
Qualifying at the Sixth annual begins on Friday, September 29th with two sessions at 4:15 and 6:30 p.m. (ET). Two more qualifying sessions will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 1:15 and 3:45 p.m. Eliminations begin on Sunday, October 1st at 11:00 a.m. (ET) starting with Top Fuel.
