Team Liberty Racing Qualifying Report: 63rd annual U.S. Nationals

CORY REED, PSE/TEAM LIBERTY RACING VICTORY MAGNUM
Q1: 7.019-seconds, 187.91 mph
Q2: 6.941, 189.02
Q3: No Time
Q4: No Time
Q5: No Time
Qualified: No. 14
First Round Opponent: Hector Arana Jr.

Quotable:

"We sat out the last three sessions because we just didn’t want to hurt my motor," Reed said. "I was running well so I think everybody needed to kind of focus on Angelle’s bike and get it running right. We needed to put all the brain power on her bike and not worry about tuning my bike at the same time. It just made the stress level go down a lot and it paid off."

ANGELLE SAMPEY, PSE/TEAM LIBERTY RACING VICTORY MAGNUM
Q1: 7.019-seconds, 183.59 mph
Q2: 7.332, 172.81
Q3: No Time
Q4: 9.487, 84.00
Q5: 6.944, 192.06
Qualified: No. 15
First Round Opponent: Andrew Hines

Quotable:
"I asked my team if I could make the run [fifth qualifying session] because I just believed that whatever they did after Q4 [fourth qualifying session] to fix it, it'd work and I could possibly move up the ladder if I had a good run," Sampey said. "They were very hesitant because we've really hurt some motors lately but I knew we had to go big or go home for the U.S. Nationals and it worked out for us. I'm so thankful."
