MANTENO, IL (May 2, 2017) – High Performance Lubricants’ (HPL) Chris McGaha took top honors last weekend at the eighth annual NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in the Pro Stock class.
In the uniquely-formatted NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, McGaha defeated competitors like Allen Johnson, Alan Prusiensky, Vincent Nobile, Jason Line, Greg Anderson, Drew Skillman, and Shane Gray on his way to victory.
“Each race we’ve won is special in its own way,” McGaha said. “My first win in Sonoma was pretty sweet and each win has its own story and honestly, I always felt like the Four-Wide in 2014 should’ve been our first win. We had a dominate car and won every quad that day until eventually it shook and we blew the motor up. That motor never recovered until this week. The motor I’ve got in it right now is the same motor I went rounds with in 2014 and that got us the win today.”
Notably, High Performance Lubricants’ Jeg Coughlin and Erica Enders qualified No. 1 and No. 2 at the event. Additionally, HPL client Angelle Sampey reached the second round of eliminations at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals while teammate Cory Reed fell in the first round after a transmission malfunction.
