Texas Native Chris McGaha Ready to Knock Dallas Win Off His BucketList

ODESSA, Tex. (October 12, 2016) – After winning the most prestigious race of the year at the U.S. Nationals, most racers would be satisfied but not Harlow Sammons Chevrolet Camaro driver Chris McGaha. Winning Indy was huge for McGaha and using that momentum, he’s looking to ink a win at his home racetrack this weekend at the 31st annual AAA FallNationals. “Dallas is just one of those races we’ve always wanted to win,” McGaha said. “To win Dallas would be big and it’s high on my bucket list. Texas Motorplex is our home race even though its 350 miles away from my house.” McGaha got his first round win in Pro Stock competition five years ago at this event. Since 2011, he has qualified every time he has pushed in the clutch at Texas Motorplex and this year, McGaha is ready to go four rounds and bring home the Wally for his friends and family that have supported through his Pro Stock journey. “My family has been racing in Dallas for so many years and I got my first round win at this race,” he added. “Our Harlow Sammons team has come a long way since that first round win and I want to bring home that trophy this weekend for everyone that has supported us.” Qualifying at the 31st annual AAA FallNationals will begin on Friday, October 14th with two sessions at 4:15 and 7:15 p.m. Two more sessions will be on Saturday, October 15th at 12:45 and 3:45 p.m. Eliminations for the event will be on Sunday, October 16th at 11:00 a.m. starting with Top Fuel.
