HARLOW SAMMONS CHEVROLET CAMARO
EVENT PREVIEW: 28TH ANNUAL NHRA KANSAS NATIONALS
Harlow Sammons’ Chris McGaha Emerging Confident for Topeka at NHRA Kansas Nationals
ODESSA, Tex. (May 17, 2016) – Harlow Sammons Pro Stock driver Chris McGaha might’ve had an early exit last weekend at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals but McGaha feels that he may have an ace up his sleeve for the competition at the 28th annual NHRA Kansas Nationals.
McGaha tested the week of the NHRA Southern Nationals and although it initially didn’t produce the results the team was looking for, it did provide direction.
“We learned what not to do and what direction not to go in,” laughed McGaha. “If we found what we think we found, I can’t wait to get back home on the dyno and see for sure.”
As the only non KB-Racing driver to reach the finals all season, McGaha predicts he will have a surprise for the competition this weekend.
“I felt we were really good at the first of the season and we kind of went backwards a little bit the last few races,” he said. “I think we’ve gotten back to where we were in Phoenix when we went to the finals. I think we’ll put this Harlow Sammons Chevrolet Camaro in the winner circle soon. We’re fixin’ to be the one to beat in Topeka.”
